Eileen & I have been working our way through Mum's paperwork. Mum was a bit of a squirrel keeping many things from the past that were important to her including a collection of my 1st birthday cards !!

One thing that we did find is a hand written note of the closing hymn from her friend Grace funeral. This must have been many years ago. However, it is very apt to add this to Mum's own tribute as she took great effort to make this note. I have added the words from the note below:

Now the day is over
Night is drawing nigh
Shadows of the evening
Steal across the sky
Now the darkness gathers
Stars begin to peep
Birds and beasts and flowers
Soon will be asleep
Amen
